Enige moord in Maastricht in 2022 in Mariaberg

Nadat onze wijk maar liefst drie maal staat genoteerd in de top van meest gelezen artikelen van nieuwssite 1Limburg blijkt nu ook dat de enige (volgens het CBS) moord in de Limburgse hoofdstad plaatsvond in Mariaberg. Dat helpt niet om af te komen van de toch al niet al te beste naam die de wijk heeft in Maastricht en omstreken.

De enige moord in Maastricht in 2022 vond plaats in deelbuurt Blauwdorp op vrijdagavond 25 maart op de Lambrecht van Middelhovenweg. Een vader schoot zijn zoon dood en overleed later in het ziekenhuis aan de verwondingen die hij zichzelf had toegebracht. De zaak staat bekend als een familiedrama. Naast de moord in Mariaberg vonden er in de gehele provincie Limburg in 2022 17 moorden plaats.

This doesn't exactly help to get rid of the already not too excellent reputation the neighborhood has in Maastricht and its surroundings.

The single murder in Maastricht in 2022 took place in the Mariaberg sub-district of Blauwdorp on Friday evening, March 25, on Lambrecht van Middelhovenweg. A father shot his son to death and later died at the hospital from self-inflicted wounds. The case is classified as a family tragedy. In addition to the murder in Mariaberg, 17 murders occurred throughout the province of Limburg in 2022.
